Camp Health & Safety

Camp Health & Safety

At Laurel Hill Summer Camp, safeguarding the health and safety of our campers is not just a priority; it's the foundation of everything we do. To this end, Laurel Hill Camp is proud to have a highly qualified team of certified nursing staff and lifeguards on site at all times throughout the summer season. These committed professionals are the backbone of our safety program, providing round-the-clock care and supervision to ensure a secure and healthy camp environment for every child.

Our nursing staff is comprised of licensed nurses with extensive experience in pediatric and emergency care. They are well-equipped to handle a wide range of health-related issues, from routine assessments to urgent care situations.

Similarly, our lifeguard team consists of certified professionals trained in water safety, rescue techniques, and first aid. They maintain a vigilant watch over all aquatic activities, enforcing safety rules and preventing accidents before they happen. Their training enables them to act decisively and confidently in the event of an emergency, ensuring the well-being of every camper during swim sessions and water-based activities.

Together, these dedicated teams of health and safety professionals work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where parents can feel confident in the care their children receive. Regular training sessions keep our staff up-to-date on the latest health and safety protocols, ensuring they are ready to respond effectively to any situation that may arise.

All of our team are required to attend mandatory workshops on Camp Safety, Fire, Lost Child, Water Safety and Health Plans. In addition they must attend a workshop on Child Abuse. These workshops ensure that every staff member understands the safety plans put in place for Laurel Hill Camp and knows how to respond in the event of an emergency.

At Laurel Hill Summer Camp, we understand that a safe camp is the cornerstone of a fun and memorable summer experience. Our comprehensive approach to health and safety, backed by our team of skilled and compassionate professionals, reflects our unwavering commitment to providing a secure and caring environment for all our campers.
